Mysuru: As many as 57 individuals died in flood, lightning and rainfall associated incidents within the state between April 1 and July 5 this 12 months regardless of average showers.

In Kodagu, 14 homes have been partially broken whereas this quantity is 216 in Mandya, 229 in Shivamogga, 93 in Hassan, 122 in Chikkkamagalur, 80 in Chamarajanagar and 318 in Mysuru district which is highest within the area. In Shivamogga, 11 homes have been broken in complete.
Income division sources stated 4 NDRF groups have been pre-deployed in Dakshina Kannada, Kodagu, Dharwad and Belagavi districts that are recognized for pure calamities within the monsoons. In Dakshina Kannada, SDRF and civil protection groups are additionally pre-deployed, they added.
“The damages to the infrastructure and agriculture are being assessed. The aid works are taken up with the funds obtainable with the respective DCs,” defined an officer from the income division.
