Varanasi: Maniyar Nagar Panchayat chairman Bhim Gupta, tax clerk Vinod Singh, laptop operator Akhilesh, govt officer Sikandarpur Sanjay Rao, a driver and a few unidentified individuals have been booked and a case of abetment of suicide was lodged towards them at Kotwali police station in Ballia on Wednesday, a day after PCS officer Manimanjari Rai, 30, was discovered hanging in her flat.
Kotwali inspector Vipin Singh stated Vijayanand Rai, brother of the deceased officer, filed a criticism after which FIR was lodged below Part 306 of IPC and investigation began.
