Rajkot: A person was arrested for allegedly operating a pretend forex printing racket from Nari Chowkadi in Bhavnagar metropolis on Friday.
The accused Ravji Makwana was present in possession of eight pretend forex notes of Rs 200 and Rs 100 denominations. He has been booked beneath part 489 (A) (B) (C) (D) of Indian Penal Code. He will probably be formally arrested as soon as he undergoes Covid-19 check, mentioned police.
“We had acquired a tip-off that Makwana was into the unlawful enterprise of printing pretend notes, which he ran from his home. Performing on this info, we raided his home in Panchnath Nagar close to Nari Chowkadi,” mentioned V V Odedara, inspector with Bhavnagar native crime department (LCB).
