But what if you’re looking to prioritize your credit card sign-ups?
To help you in that situation, here’s our monthly roundup of the current limited-time welcome offers — the ones that are worth an extra look right now, because they won’t be sticking around forever.
1. Citi / AAdvantage Platinum Select World Elite MastercardCurrent Offer: Earn 60,000 AAdvantage miles after you spend $3,000 in the first three months.
Bonus Offer Value: $840 based on TPG’s most recent valuations
Standard Offer: 30,000 AAdvantage miles after you spend $1,000 in the first three months
Annual Fee: $99 (waived the first year)
Benefits: Earn 2x miles on American Airlines purchases and, as a recently introduced perk, also at gas stations and restaurants. The card also just added a $100 AA flight discount benefit after you spend $20,000 on the card in a membership year and renew your account. All of the card’s other benefits remain the same, including no foreign transaction fees, a first bag checked free on domestic American flights, preferred boarding and access to Reduced Mileage Awards.
2. The Business Platinum® Card from American Express OPENCurrent Offer: Earn 50,000 American Express Membership Rewards points after you spend $10,000 in the first three months, plus an additional 50,000 Membership Rewards points after spending an additional $15,000 in the first three months.
Bonus Offer Value: $1,900 based on TPG’s most recent valuations
Standard Offer: 50,000 points after spending $10,000 in the first three months and 25,000 more points after you spend an additional $10,000 purchases in the same three-month period.
Annual Fee: $450
Benefits: Earn 5x points on airfare and prepaid hotels purchased at Amex Travel. Access to Centurion Lounges, Priority Pass lounges and Delta Sky Clubs when flying Delta. A $200 annual airline fee credit and up to a $100 Global Entry/TSA PreCheck application credit. Gold elite status at Hilton and Starwood hotels, which can be matched to Gold status in Marriott Rewards (and converted to Gold status in the new Marriott program starting in August). 10 free Gogo inflight Wi-Fi passes and a 35% rebate when you Pay With Points for a first or business class ticket on any airline.
3. CitiBusiness / AAdvantage Platinum Select World MastercardCurrent Offer: Earn 70,000 AAdvantage miles after you spend $4,000 in the first four months
Bonus Offer Value: $980 based on TPG’s most recent valuations
Standard Offer: 30,000 AAdvantage miles after you spend $1,000 in the first three months
Annual Fee: $95 (waived the first year)
Benefits: Earn 2x miles on American Airlines purchases, along with 2x miles at gas stations and certain telecommunications and rental car merchants. Get a $99 domestic economy companion certificate after spending $30,000 on the card in a membership year and if the account remains open for at least 45 days after the anniversary date. As with the personal card, you also get a first bag checked free, preferred boarding and access to Reduced Mileage Awards. There are no foreign transaction fees.
4. United Explorer CardCurrent Offer: Earn 40,000 bonus miles after you spend $2,000 in the first three months, plus a $100 statement credit after your first purchase. Then earn an additional 5,000 miles after you add the first authorized user to your account and make a purchase with your card in the first 3 months as a cardmember.
Bonus Offer Value: $660 based on TPG’s most recent valuations (not including the 5,000-mile bonus for adding an authorized user, which would raise the value to a total of $730)
Standard Offer: 40,000 bonus miles after you spend $2,000 in the first three months, but no additional statement credit
Annual Fee: $95 (waived the first year)
Benefits: Earn 2x miles on United purchases, along with 2x miles at restaurants and hotel stays. Get two United Club passes per year, access to expanded award availability when using miles, up to a $100 Global Entry/TSA PreCheck application credit every four years and access to Chase’s Luxury Hotel & Resort Collection Program. When flying United, you’ll also get a first bag checked free, priority boarding and 25% off in-flight purchases. There are no foreign transaction fees.
5. Platinum Delta SkyMiles® Business Credit Card from American ExpressCurrent Offer: Earn 5,000 MQMs and 35,000 bonus miles after you spend $1,000 in the first three months. Also, earn a $100 credit after you make a Delta purchase in the first three months. Plus, earn 5 miles per dollar on all eligible purchases for the first six months, up to 35,000 bonus miles.
Bonus Offer Value: $480 based on TPG’s most recent valuations, factoring in the 5 miles per dollar you’d earn for the $1,000 spent to meet the minimum spending requirement, for a total of 40,000 miles earned. If you spend $7,000 in the first six months to get the additional 35,000 bonus miles, the total value for the bonus along with the spending would be $840.
Standard Offer: 5,000 MQMs and 35,000 SkyMiles after spending $1,000, plus a $100 statement credit when you make a Delta purchase in the first three months.
Annual Fee: $195
Benefits: The real differentiator with this current welcome bonus is the 5x miles you’ll earn on purchases in the first six months, up to 35,000 bonus miles. To max this offer out, you’d need to spend $7,000 on the card in the first six months to earn a total of 70,000 SkyMiles across the board. Other perks offered by this card include priority boarding, a first bag checked free, 2x miles on Delta purchases and the ability to earn MQMs toward status. This current welcome bonus is available through July 31, 2018 — at that time, the 5x miles offer may simply disappear for new applicants, or the welcome bonus could change entirely as well.
